The openness and thought that went into this site and your statements must be applauded. Many people have their perceptions clouded by what they are taught, it is good to see that you are free of that. You look at the world with truer sight. I must ask as to the limitations imposed however. It does not do to trade one prison for another. No doubt you felt bound by the constricting paradigm of the round earth, but does this dual earth serve you any better? The world is not purely material, and this does not seem to be taken into account. I have written on this before: sacredsteps.webs.com/apps/blog/show/45045060-matter-and-spirit One of the greatest mistakes the world has made is the idea that the reality we all perceive is identical, that it is not shaped by ourselves, our minds, our moods and our wishes. What you see is not what I see. Deep down, I suspect you know this, you have seen through the initial perceptions we are all taught to your new model. Please do not further limit yourself. Joe

I do not agree that the mind would have that much of an effect on the surroundings. A major component of DET is to minimize the number of necessary assumptions, and invoking the mind as a crucial element doesn't do that. DET is not about freedom, it's about accurately modelling the world. Truth should always come before idealism.
